I began working on this piece in August of 2020, shortly after the loss of my brother, D’king Goggans. This was composed in his remembrance and is my musical exploration of grief. The performer should feel free to interpret this as they see fit. Tempos are merely suggestions; we don’t all grieve at the same pace.
